Which vehicle should you book?

The right vehicle comes down to three things: how many people are travelling, how much luggage you have, and where you are going. Airport runs are usually decided by boot space rather than seats — four passengers with four large suitcases need an SUV or a van, not a sedan.

Airport transfers and city trips

For one to three passengers with normal luggage, a sedan is the most economical choice and handles Nairobi traffic comfortably. Add a fourth passenger or a second large suitcase each and an SUV becomes the sensible pick. Every JKIA transfer includes meet and greet at arrivals and flight monitoring, so a delayed landing does not cost you the booking.

Groups, families and corporate teams

A 14-seat van keeps a group together and is almost always cheaper than running two cars. It also carries the luggage that two sedans could not. For corporate arrivals where several colleagues land on the same flight, one van with a single pickup point is far easier to coordinate than multiple separate transfers.

Safari and upcountry travel

Long-distance and park routes involve rough surfaces and long hours, so ground clearance and comfort matter more than fuel economy. An SUV or 4x4 is the right call for Maasai Mara, Amboseli and Samburu, while tarmac routes such as Nakuru, Naivasha and Mombasa are comfortable in any of our vehicles.
